Great news for Nokia lovers!NOKIA-2 goes official with 5″ HD display and many other features. After we have seen a line-up of Nokia devices. HMD Global has finally announced their cheapest Nokia Android phone in 2017 at an event in India. The entry-level Android device is like Nokia-2. Despite coming from the low-end smartphone. It boasts some enticing features like Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Android 7.1.1 Nougat and Snapdragon chipset.
Nokia-2 Specifications and features
Spec-wise, Nokia 2 sports a 5.0 inches screen with HD resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels. Android 7.1.1 Nougatis is pre-installed out of the box. The company is promising an Oreo update for the Nokia 2.
On the inside is a Snapdragon 212 chipset, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. The internal storage is expandable to up to 128GB with micro SD card.
Camera and battery
For optics, there is an 8 megapixels camera at the back of the Nokia 2 with a single LED flash, upfront is a 5 megapixels camera. The Nokia 2 houses a 4100 mAh battery which is enough battery juice for power users.
Color and connectivity
The device is in two different colors Black and White. The Black color has a copper frame model. The Nokia 2 design looks a lot like the Nokia Lumia phones, there is no fingerprint scanner on the device. The back is dominated by only the camera and LED flash.
Connectivity options are real dual sim support (no hybrid slot), 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroUSB 2.0 port, Cat 4 LTE (150/50Mbps), Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Nokia 2 has IP52 Drip protection feature.
Price
Nokia 2 has a launch price of 115 USD which reads about 42,000 nairas in Nigeria and R.s 7,499 in India. The device will be available for purchase from mid-November across the globe.
