Preparation:

  • You need a rooted Oneplus 2 with TWRP recovery.
  • Charge your device up to 50%.
  • Use original data cable to create connection between your PC and your phone.
  • Backup your important data.

HOW TO INSTALL CYANOGENMOD 12.1 ON ONEPLUS 2:

Step No 1: First of all, you need a rooted phone with the TWRP Custom Recovery. Read the tutorial here how to root and install TWRP recovery on oneplus 2.

Step No 2: Download the CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM for Oneplus 2: Link

Step No 3: Don’t extract or unzip the CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM file.

Step No 4: Download the GAPPS package here and don’t extract the folder.

Step No 5: Now You need top flash this file to install all the Google apps on your Oneplus 2.

Step No 6: Now move both the file on internal storage of your Oneplus 2.

Step No 7: Once the files are saved, boot your device in TWRP recovery mode: Read here

Step No 8: Now from the TWRP recovery screen. Select the Wipe Option -> Advanced Wipe -> Wipe Cache.

Step No 9: Now go back to the main screen of TWRP recovery and chose the Install, select the CM12.1 file and Flash it.

Step No 10: Now Select the Gapps zip file and flash it.

Step No 11: Once both the files are flashed, go back to the main screen of recovery and select Reboot to restart your device.

Step No 12: Now your OnePlus 2 phone is running on the CM 12.1 ROM.
