LG is the greatest smartphone company who have first pushed out the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating system on the G4 smartphone. Few days ago LG promised that G4 smartphone will be updated to the latest Android version in the coming week and the South Korean gigantic has delivered its promise, the update is now seeding on some regions and will be going out in stages. Preparation:
1- USB data cable with driver installed in the PC- Download USB Driver here
2- Phone battery charge level to be at least 70%
3- Take a Full Backup of your important data in your phone before proceeding
4- Download KDZ file for Android 6.0 Marshmallow: Link
5- Download the LG flashtool: Link
How to Update LG G4 H815 to Android 6.0:
Step 1: First of all, download the requires files from the above links.
Step 2: Now Turn off your LG G4 and put it into download mode by pressing & holding the volume up key
and plugging in the USB data cable.
Step 3: Now launch the LG Flashtool that you downloaded earlier and right next to “Select KDZ file”
and browse to the folder where you’ve placed the KDZ file you downloaded earlier and select it.
Step 4: Once you have done that, you can either choose “Normal Flash” that won’t wipe your data or
apps or you can choose “CSE Flash” which will wipe your overall internal storage, that basically
means going to a complete stock experience.
Step 5: Whatever option you choose will get your phone another screen. Don’t freak out if you don’t
see your G4 phone listed there.
Step 6: Click on “START” button and then click on “OK” in the next screen, make sure you don’t change anything from there. This will start the flashing process and shortly your phone will be flashed. So do not unplug it or try to press buttons on your phone.
Step 7: The device will reboot itself when the progress reaches around 80% it is advised to let it
stay till it reaches 100% to avoid any damages.
Step 8: Once the flashing process is completed, your device will automatically reboot and it will
boot into Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
