Steps to Root OnePlus One (Unlock Bootloader and Flash TWRP Recovery)

Unlock Bootloader

  1. Run toolkit on your PC, and Connect your OnePlus One with your PC via USB cable
  2. Now on the toolkit select “Enter Fastboot / Recovery Mode”.
  3. Now choose “Enter Fastboot”.
  4. Select the “Unlock Bootloader” It will unlock the bootloader of your phone and then your phone will automatically reboot.

Install TWRP Recovery

  1. Now on the toolkit tap on the “Flash”
  2. Then choose the “TWRP”

  1. Now on the toolkit click on “Boot” and choose “TWRP Recovery”. To boot your phone on newly installed TWRP Recovery
  2. Now on the TWRP Recovery mode select “reboot system”.
  3. SuperSU installation will be then stimulated, install it and reboot system
  4. After it boot, open the app drawer and tap SuperSU Installer. And select “Play” and then “Update”. Then choose “yes” and install binaries.
  • Now download and install the Root Checker app from Google Play store in order to check if your OnePlus One root status.
