Hello friends, today we are going to share a rooting tutorial for Moto X Play smartphone. Nowadays Moto X is the amazing smartphone everywhere you can easily find the lovers of this phone. Moto X phone launched during the august of this year. The Moto X comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. And now you can root your Moto X on Android 5.1.
But Before rooting the Moto X Play, you require something like bootloader and TWRP recovery. Without custom recovery, you can’t root the Moto X Play. If you are ready for rooting then follow the below steps and taste the rooting features.

Preparation:-
- Charge your device up to 70%.
- Take the full backup of your Moto X Play.
- Enable the USB debugging mode on your phone.
- Use the original data cable to create a connection between your PC & your phone.
GUIDE TO ROOT THE MOTO X PLAY ON ANDROID 5.1 LOLLIPOP:
Step 1: First of all, Download the SuperSU package from Chainfire’s: Link
Step 2: Make sure you’ve unlocked the bootloader to get root access. Read here
Step 3: After unlocked the bootloader then install a custom recovery on your Moto X Play smartphone. How to install a custom recovery on your Motorola Moto X Play: Read here
Step 4: Connect the device to the computer via USB data cable.
Step 5: Now transfer the SuperSU file from the PC to the internal storage SD card.
Step 6: Disconnect the device from the computer.
Step 7: And Completely power off your Moto X play phone. Reboot it into the custom recovery you already installed by using the Volume Down + Power keys.
Step 8: Now Navigate to the “install” option from the recovery mode menu.
Step 9: Browse the internal storage SD card and confirm to install the SuperSU file to complete rooting the Motorola Moto X Play.
Step 10: Now go back to the main recovery menu after you have installed the SuperSU, and choose to reboot the system now.
Once the system reboots, you are start checking out any custom ROMs that might be suitable for your Moto X Play. Furthermore, since you have installed a custom recovery, you can enter that recover using the same keys Volume Down + Power and install custom ROM files.
